Ophthalmology - Multimedia Guide 'reaching out to health workers in Africa'

We are supporting the development of a new multimedia training resource to meet the need for high quality ophthalmic training materials.  The aim of this unique project is to improve the quality of care for eye problems worldwide, with an initial focus on Africa.  The development team combines years of experience in developing world ophthalmology and a proven track record in using groundbreaking multimedia educational techniques.

At this important stage in the development of the project, we believe that organisations involved in eye health programmes (NGOs, relevant government agencies and corporations) with have a pivotal role to play in helping to create and pilot the resource.  The project model is designed to become self-financing, so the initial investment will be an important legacy that will continue to have an impact on the prevention of avoidable blindness and restoring sight worldwide well into the future.
