Matthew Rugamba
Matthew Rugamba started his career as District Officer in Local Government in Uganda where he was involved in development related programmes for over ten years. He developed an interest in the Universal Primary Education Programme implemented by the Government of Uganda in 1997, which saw the enrolment of children of school going age increase from 2.5 million in 1996 to 7.5 million in 2006.
In keeping with his passion for education and development, Matthew completed a Masters of Science degree in Development Studies at the School of Oriental and Africa Studies, University of London. He is currently working for Africa Matters Limited as an analyst.
